The knee splitter, was mostly used during investigation and permanently made the knee worthless. The knee splitter wasn’t only used to split the knee it was also used in different parts of the body like the arms, lower legs and the elbow. The knee splitter worked by twisting the handle and the spikes will slowly slam against each other damaging the skin in between. The Knee splitter had about three to more then twenty spikes . For maximum pain some tortures would heat the spikes and other had small claws to hurt the flesh gradually and agonizingly. This method did not cause much death. If a person refused to cooperate they will receive more painful methods of torture. |
